Climate Education
Welcome!
I’m Ethan Carr. A Ph.D. Student and Researcher at the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) and the Department of Geography at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
This website aims to be a platform for promoting research, photography, and discussing all aspects of climate and conservation.
Research
My research focuses on highlighting the impacts of climate change on glaciated environments. In particular, my doctoral research studies Glacial Lake Outburst Floods from the Greenland Ice Sheet.
This site is a work in progress…
Climate Blog
One of my career goals is to help break down the complexities of climate change. Check out some of my articles here!
Photography
Every photograph of a glacier melting, a forest burning, a coral reef fading, or a farmer struggling through drought tells a story that words can’t fully hold. Through a lens, we document not only what is disappearing, but what still remains—what’s worth protecting.
Photography gives voice to the voiceless: the animals losing their homes, the people displaced by rising seas or failing crops, and the wild places silently vanishing before our eyes. It freezes time in a world moving too fast to notice.
Outreach and Education
In addition to my research, I am passionate about improving communication around Climate Change.
